Pivot Tables

Pivot tables are analytical tools that resemble spreadsheets or crosstab reports. A Pivot table overlays a dynamic datacube, which allows data to be sliced and diced for ad hoc, interactive, and multidimensional analysis.

Pivot tables allow you to add, move, rename, focus on, and group Dimensions to gain customized views of the data. You can use these tools to present data in different context and with heightened emphasis.
