Notes from David Knopf
- I used Dreamweaver MX to create the HTML topic file.
- I created the HTML Help TOC file (.hhc) and compiled the HTML Help project using the Microsoft compiler included in the free HTML Help Workshop application.

Validation reports
In order for an HTML file to be valid, it must at minimum include both a DOCTYPE statement on the first line of the file and a <meta> tag specifying the correct character set for the file. The HTML file we produced with Dreamweaver contains both of these required elements. Both the HTML and the CSS file produced by Dreamweaver are valid according to W3C standards.
