WinHelp 2000 Overview
WinHelp 2000 is a Help delivery solution developed by eHelp Corporation, the developers of RoboHelp. WinHelp 2000 extends the basic capabilities of Microsoft WinHelp with increased functionality and a look-and-feel similar to HTML Help.
To create WinHelp 2000, authors use RoboHelp for WinHelp, enabling the WinHelp 2000 features in the Project Settings dialog box. The compiler produces an HLP file and a CNT file, which are distributed to users of the Help system, together with a DLL from eHelp Corporation (ROBOEX32.DLL) that contains the WinHelp 2000 extensions. This DLL file must be installed on each user's machine.
In order to view a WinHelp 2000 system, users must have a Windows PC on which they have installed the ROBOEX32.DLL file.
