WinHelp 2000 is a Help delivery solution developed by eHelp Corporation, the developers of RoboHelp. WinHelp 2000 extends the basic capabilities of Microsoft WinHelp with increased functionality and a look-and-feel similar to HTML Help.
To create WinHelp 2000, authors use RoboHelp for WinHelp, enabling the WinHelp 2000 features in the Project Settings dialog box. The compiler produces an HLP file and a CNT file, which are distributed to users of the Help system, together with a DLL from eHelp Corporation (ROBOEX32.DLL) that contains the WinHelp 2000 extensions. This DLL file must be installed on each user's machine.
In order to view a WinHelp 2000 system, users must have a Windows PC on which they have installed the ROBOEX32.DLL file.
There are currently no third-party books on WinHelp 2000.
eHelp's "RoboHelp Community" Web site - eHelp, the developer of RoboHelp, sponsors this Web site/mailing list to provide support to current RoboHelp users. The Web site offers a knowledge base, as well as discussion forums. You can participate in the discussion forums by e-mail or directly on the Web site.
